Alternative Energy 2007: Seizing Opportunity in an
Expanding Energy Marketplace" A conference sponsored by the Center
for Energy Studies, Louisiana State University, April 25, 2007. Larry
Kumins, EPRINC's Vice President for Research and Analysis made a
presentation entitled, Ethanol Updated: Value Stream, Energy Security,
and the Dangers of Overproduction.
On April 10-12, 2007 EPRINC participated in the Federal Trade
Commissions conference,Energy Markets in the 21st Century: Competition
Policy in Perspective Workshop.” EPRINC’s Chairman, Darius W. Gaskins,
chaired the opening panel on Lessons From History: How Did
the United States Deal with the Energy Crises of the 1970s? What Did We
Learn? The participants in the opening panel included Daniel
Yergin of Cambrdige Energy Research Associates; Douglas Arent of the
National Renewable Energy Laboratory, James Bushnell of the University
of California Energy Institute, and Gal Luft of the Institute of
